Costume Design
I am passionate about designing with a conceptual narrative; finding dance the most expressive platform for storytelling. With textile design often taking lead, creating motifs to convey larger themes, I am also inspired by historical dress and pulling our anatomy to the foreground.
Textile Design & Artistry
I always say that I think in textiles, and find inspiration most everywhere I look. Often leaning toward monochromatic tones, I focus on fine detailing with contrasting textures to explore organic and mechanical imagery, often dealing with darker themes. I enjoy and practice both decorative textile design and dye and breakdown artistry.
Illustrative Work
Drawing is the primary tool of learning, discovery and development for me, as well as a form of communication and expression. I think this relationship lends itself to a fluid dreamy style in my illustration as well as an emphasis on detail and information.
